Simon serves as an independent director of the Royalton CRIX crypto index fund general partner SA. He is also a member of the Royalton CRIX index board charged with overseeing the Royalton CRIX crypto index. He is an Assistant Professor of Econometrics and Data Science Amsterdam School of Economics University of Amsterdam and was formerly an Assistant Professor at Department of Management Sciences, College of Business, City University of Hong Kong. Simon was part of the team that created the Royalton CRIX crypto index. Simon holds a PHD in Economics and Management Science and a master's degree in Statistics from the Humbolt University of Berlin.

Cathy Yi-Hsuan Chen is a professor in Finance at Adam Smith Business School in the University of Glasgow since March 2019. Previously she held a professorship in the School of Business & Economics in Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and the Mercator Fellow of International Research Training Group 1792 – High Dimensional Non-Stationary Time Series. She is an associate editor of Digital Finance and also Computational Statistics.
